Maybe she was a little girl dragging a balloon across the room? She stopped by the fire alarm so we could talk? Or perhaps she was my aunt saying, hello, I love you, I am strong and at peace, pass it on...? I don't know for sure. Her timing was impeccable. She waited till we caught our first glimpse of the book in the movie. Then, she did it again to make sure we were aware. For the third time, she waited till morning while we were both looking again. She made the balloon stop at the magic book. We didn't try and reach anyone at all, we had done some talking, but mostly we were just trying to unwind and watch a movie.
We both felt her just as certainly as one can feel condensation dripping down a glass of ice cold water. The tingling electric sensation started at the cellular level and went right up to the hairs on back of our necks. We were her captive audience, she filled our solarplexes and heart chakras with her energy. She did it again until we were not only convinced, but totally frightened by her giddy stronghold on the after party hangers on. We sang her Happy Birthday and hoped that she liked that. After the third go round, I popped that balloon.
