"it's good work if you can get it..."

It’s hard not to hug them. I don’t want to back away. They are easy to adore and sometimes endure the reality that life will teach. I speak words they don’t really know. “Big Words” I want them to learn. I code-switch, they kind of should code-switch for me. There may be excellence with formalities. We have the rough days where they just can’t be present and don’t even know what that means. I lecture and try to effect change. It doesn’t always work but there is learning and a whole lot of love.  The work never ends but it's good work if you can get it!
