It must have been last May, as I recall, because it was hot outside and I was wearing some cheap blue sunglasses I got from a gift store in the Village. I was walking downtown from the Magic Johnson theatre, taking a mental health break, playing hooky from the Ho-des, when something shiny caught my eyes. I looked down on the sidewalk and there they were, the awesomest unisex sunglasses that someone had ever carelessly dropped.
I looked left, I looked right, I turned around and yelled, "hey, did anybody drop their Kangols?" and nobody answered me.... so, I scooped them up, took them home and washed them really good and put them on my face. I could see stars all over the place. It was as if the Urban Lord of Eyewear decided to cut this kid a break and bestow the perfect shades upon me. I have been rocking them ever since. On good days and bad, I had my Kangols to shield and protect me from the light and the eyes of the masses.
Until yesterday, when I reached into my bag and realized, I broke them. I was so sad, I have to say, I had grown so attached to those shades. The perfect sunglasses just don't come around that often and now I must replace them with exact replicas. Now the search begins. I was lucky that day in May, the Lord of Urban Eyewear blessed me with model KL4893 shades and now I must give tribute and actually buy a pair. RIP, FREE Kangols from the Lord! RIP!

Thanks for the feedback; I'm so sorry I never responded. I didn't know anyone actually read my blog and didn't know you commented until just now. Anyway, thanks for reading!
