By the moon, two times

By the moon, two times, I live this life as both a woman and a Jew. Close to the clock today, I am winding down. An internal alarm reminds me of my vibrant powers on every full moon. Females have an intimate knowledge of the passing of the time. I track my movements by the tides. The mellow moonlight, so feminine with subtle importance and elegant gravity. I understnad my emotions by this waxing moon and my memories are some times attached.

Judaism determines chronology by the moon. As a Jew, rituals begin when the sun goes down and the moon graces this side of the planet. The lunar phases, an integral part of Judaism's life cycles and being a women. By the moon, time passes on this earth and I am still singing this song I learned before I even knew what living by the moon meant. "I love the Moon and the Moon loves me. G-d loves the Moon and G-d loves me."
